On Sunday, October 30, 2022, a midnight Holy Liturgy was celebrated in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. The holy Eucharistic gathering was presided over by the Most Reverend Archbishop of Pela, Mr. Filumenos, with the concurrence of His Eminence the Bishop of Nish, Mr. Arsenije.
More than 30 priests from Greece, Serbia, Romania, Georgia and Russia served with the Most Reverend Archbishops. Among the many faithful people were graduates of the Nish (Serbia) Theological Seminary of Saints Cyril and Methodius.
Liturgy, especially the Holy Eucharist, is the central point of the pilgrim’s journey in the Holy Land. That spiritual character, confirmed by the communion of the Holy Mysteries, and that in the places where some of the most significant events in the history of the Universe and the divine ordinance of salvation took place, distinguishes a devotional trip to the Holy Land from an ordinary tourist visit.
